Jesa (2026)

Four estranged sisters reunite for a chaotic family ritual where secrets, humor, and grief collide. Jesa is a bold and emotionally charged new play that reimagines the idea of a “perfect family gathering.” When four estranged Korean American sisters return to Orange County to perform their father’s Jesa—a traditional ceremony honoring their ancestors—old resentments resurface, buried secrets are unearthed, and both literal and emotional ghosts demand to be faced. Blending sharp wit, explosive humor, and heartfelt honesty, the play explores the messy bonds of family, the weight of tradition, and the struggle to find connection amid conflict.
