Fiddler on the Roof (1990)

Tevye is a poor Jewish milkman in Czarist Russia. He and his bossy, sharp-tongued wife Golde have five daughters (eldest to youngest): Tzeitel, Hodel, Chava, Shprintze and Bielke. Tevye explains the customs of the Jews in the Russian shtetl of Anatevka in 1905, where their lives are as precarious as the perch of a fiddler on a roof ("Tradition").
