Half-Mennonite Kansas girl Sherie Rene Scott recounts her journey from a devout Midwestern childhood—where she idolizes Mister Rogers and Jesus in equal measure—to her pursuit of stardom in New York City. Navigating faith, fame, and a persistent teenage YouTube fan who claims to be her biggest devotee, she balances spiritual longing with showbiz ambition. The semi-autobiographical tale weaves together gospel, pop, and confessional storytelling as Sherie reconciles her sacred roots with her secular dreams.
