Dana H. (2021)
Dana H. recounts the harrowing true story of Dana Higginbotham, the mother of playwright Lucas Hnath, who was kidnapped and held captive for five months by a member of the Aryan Brotherhood she had met while working as a hospital chaplain in Florida. The play presents Dana herself — through a recording of her actual voice, lip-synced by actress Deirdre O'Connell — describing her ordeal of psychological manipulation, abuse, and survival in her own words.
