Who's Next (1972)

By The Who

Hard rock built around synthesiser loops, power chords and Roger Daltrey's bellow, salvaged from Lifehouse, a rock opera guitarist Pete Townshend abandoned as a follow-up to Tommy. The English band the Who released it in August 1971, with "Baba O'Riley" and "Won't Get Fooled Again" as singles. Rolling Stone placed it at number 77 on its 500 Greatest Albums list in 2020.
