True Blue (1986)

By Madonna

Synthesizers, drum machines and girl group harmonies carry a set of pop and dance songs about love, marriage and devotion, drawn partly from Madonna's own life. Released in 1986, it was the first album the American singer co-wrote and co-produced entirely. It topped the charts in 28 countries and yielded the US number one "Papa Don't Preach".
