Trio (1987)
Three country and folk voices braid together across close harmony ballads and traditional songs, with acoustic backing kept spare enough to leave the singing exposed. Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris recorded it as a full collaboration, released in March 1987. It sold a million copies in the United States and around four million worldwide, and the three reunited for Trio II in 1999.
