The Dark Side of the Moon (1973)

By Pink Floyd

Slow, spacious progressive rock built from synthesisers, tape loops and snippets of recorded interviews, circling greed, time, death and mental illness. The English band Pink Floyd tied it to the pressures of touring and the breakdown of former member Syd Barrett. Released in 1973 with the single "Money", it topped the US Billboard album chart and has sold over 45 million copies.
