Taking the Long Way (2006)

Country-rock songs about defiance, family and the cost of speaking your mind, written in the wake of the backlash that followed the band's criticism of President Bush. The trio, an American country group, cut it with producer Rick Rubin for Columbia Nashville. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and won five Grammys, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year.
