Selena (1989)

By Selena

Tejano songs built on cumbia rhythms and pop melodies, sung by a Texas performer who had already won Female Vocalist of the Year at the Tejano Music Awards in 1987. This was Selena's debut for EMI Latin, recorded with her family band Selena y Los Dinos and produced largely by her brother A.B. Quintanilla. For listeners curious where the Queen of Tejano Music started.
