Heavy metal riffs, funk basslines and rapped vocals collide behind lyrics attacking authority and capitalism. It is the 1992 debut from the Los Angeles four piece of Zack de la Rocha, Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk, a band later inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Rolling Stone placed it at number 221 on its 500 greatest albums list in 2020.
