Pies Descalzos (1995)

By Shakira

Guitar-driven Latin rock with pop hooks, written entirely by a Colombian singer then in her teens after two albums that went nowhere. Shakira co-wrote all eleven tracks with producer Luis Fernando Ochoa, and the lead single "Estoy Aqui" reached number 2 on Billboard's Latin Songs chart. The album sold a million copies in Colombia and earned a platinum certification in the US.
