Pet Sounds (1966)

By The Beach Boys

Layered vocal harmonies, orchestral pop arrangements and unusual instruments carry songs about self-doubt, alienation and growing up, from "Wouldn't It Be Nice" to "Caroline, No". The Beach Boys' eleventh album was composed and produced largely by Brian Wilson with lyricist Tony Asher, and reached number 10 on the Billboard Top LPs chart in 1966. For fans of ambitious studio pop.
