People (1964)
Show tunes and torch ballads sung with Broadway-sized emotion, built around a new recording of the title song from Funny Girl, the musical Streisand was starring in at the time. Released in September 1964, it was her first album to reach No. 1 on the Billboard chart, and the Library of Congress added it to the National Recording Registry in 2017.
