Music Box (1993)

By Mariah Carey

Pop ballads and uptempo dance tracks built on R&B, soul and gospel, sung with a more restrained touch than the singer's earlier records. American singer-songwriter Mariah Carey wrote most of it with Walter Afanasieff, her collaborator on Emotions (1991), alongside producers including Babyface. Its singles "Dreamlover" and "Hero" both topped the US Billboard Hot 100, and the album sold over 30 million copies worldwide.
