Modern Vampires of the City (2013)
Trades the African-influenced indie pop of earlier Vampire Weekend records for something stranger, built from pitch shifted vocals and studio experiments, with lyrics about adult responsibility, mortality and religious faith. The New York band's third album, made with outside producer Ariel Rechtshaid, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and later landed at 328 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
