Let's Get It On (1973)
Smooth soul, doo wop and funk carry lyrics about sex and romance, with Gaye layering his own vocals over seductive grooves. Released in 1973 after his socially conscious What's Going On, it became the biggest seller of his Motown career, and the title track helped pioneer the slow jam and quiet storm formats.
