Laundry Service (2001)

By Shakira

Pop rock built around love and romance, with detours into Andean music, dance-pop, Middle Eastern sounds and tango. It was the first English-language album from Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira (Donde Estan los Ladrones?), who learned English well enough to write the songs herself. Released in 2001, it hit number three on the Billboard 200 and produced "Whenever, Wherever" and "Underneath Your Clothes."
