Jubilee (2021)

By Japanese Breakfast

Indie pop built for pleasure rather than mourning, with lush horns and bright production carrying songs about choosing joy. Michelle Zauner, who leads the band and wrote the memoir Crying in H Mart, made this third album as a turn away from five years of writing about grief. It reached number 56 on the Billboard 200.
