Is This It (2001)
Lean garage rock built on twin-guitar interplay and live takes, with Julian Casablancas singing about the relationships and routines of urban youth. The 2001 debut by the Strokes was recorded in New York with producer Gordon Raphael and led by the singles "Last Nite" and "Someday." It reached number two on the UK Albums Chart.
