Hotel California (1976)

By Eagles

Smooth California rock with twin guitar leads and close harmonies, circling excess, fame and the emptiness underneath. It was the Eagles' fifth album, the first with guitarist Joe Walsh and the last with bassist Randy Meisner. Released in 1976, it topped the Billboard 200, sent the title track and "New Kid in Town" to No. 1, and won Record of the Year at the Grammys.
