África Brasil (1976)

By Jorge Ben

Electric guitar, horns and Afro-Brazilian percussion drive a set that runs samba-funk and samba-rock into soul, with lyrics about football, love and childhood. Brazilian singer-songwriter Jorge Ben recorded it in ten days in Rio in 1976, trading his acoustic guitar for an electric one. Rolling Stone ranked it 22nd on its list of the 50 best albums of all time.
