For the Roses (1972)
Folk songs that drift toward jazz, circling fame, retreat and love gone wrong, including a portrait of a lover's heroin addiction. Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell (Blue) wrote the single "You Turn Me On, I'm a Radio" in sarcastic response to a label request for something radio friendly; it reached number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100.
