False Lankum (2023)

By Lankum

Traditional Irish folk songs get stretched into long drones and heavy, dissonant arrangements on the fourth album from Dublin group Lankum, released in March 2023 on Rough Trade. It reached number two on the Irish Albums Chart and was shortlisted for the 2023 Mercury Prize, turning up on several year-end best-of lists. For fans of folk played dark and slow.
