Faith (1987)

By George Michael

Pop songs built on R&B, funk and soul, with lyrics that turn inward on romance and reputation. George Michael, previously half of the duo Wham!, wrote, produced and played much of his 1987 solo debut himself. It won Album of the Year at the 1989 Grammys and sent four singles to number one on the Billboard Hot 100, including the title track and "Father Figure".
