Elis & Tom (1974)

By Elis Regina & Tom Jobim

Two Brazilian greats trade bossa nova songs, recorded over 16 days at MGM Studios in Los Angeles. Singer Elis Regina had long wanted to make an album of Antonio Carlos Jobim's songs with him, and her label approved it in 1974 for her tenth year on Philips. The 2022 documentary Elis & Tom, So Tinha de Ser com Voce covers the sessions.
