El Mal Querer (2018)

Flamenco melodrama meets pop and urbano production across a concept album about a toxic marriage, loosely following the anonymous 13th-century Occitan novel Flamenca. Spanish singer Rosalia wrote it on a low budget as an independent artist, co-producing with El Guincho, and submitted it as her graduation project at the Catalonia College of Music. It won Album of the Year at the 2019 Latin Grammys.
