Daydream (1995)

By Mariah Carey

Pop ballads and slow-burning R&B built around fantasy, isolation and romantic vulnerability, produced with Jermaine Dupri and Babyface. The 1995 album moved Mariah Carey (Music Box) toward R&B and hip-hop, and yielded three US number ones, including "One Sweet Day", which held the top spot for sixteen weeks. It drew six Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year.
