Court and Spark (1974)
Folk rock loosened up with jazz: warm piano and guitar songs about love, doubt and the pull of fame, sung by Canadian songwriter Joni Mitchell. Her sixth studio album, released in 1974, reached No. 2 in the US and No. 1 in Canada, and was voted the year's best album in The Village Voice Pazz & Jop critics poll. For fans of jazz-inflected singer-songwriter records.
