Common People (2024)

By Pulp

A synth-driven Britpop single that skewers a wealthy art student who wants to live "like common people," sung with open contempt by Jarvis Cocker of the English band Pulp. Released in 1995 as the lead single from Different Class, it reached No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart, and Rolling Stone readers voted it the greatest Britpop song in 2015.
