Clouds (1969)
Acoustic folk songs about lovers and restlessness, sung in a high, clear voice over subtle, unconventional harmonies. It is the second album by Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell (Song to a Seagull), who produced most of it herself and painted the self-portrait on the cover. Released in 1969, it reached number 22 in Canada and number 31 in the US.
