Back in Black (1980)
Hard rock built on blunt riffs and gravel-throated vocals, recorded in the Bahamas after AC/DC singer Bon Scott died of alcohol poisoning in 1980. The Australian band (Highway to Hell) carried on with new vocalist Brian Johnson and an all-black sleeve meant as a sign of mourning. It has sold an estimated 50 million copies worldwide.
