Axis: Bold as Love (1967)

By The Jimi Hendrix Experience

Guitar rock roaming across styles, from the hard riffing of "Spanish Castle Magic" to the gentle soul of "Little Wing," both drawing on Jimi Hendrix's years in rhythm and blues bands. Released in December 1967, seven months after the trio's debut, it hit the top ten in Britain and America. Rolling Stone ranked it number 92 on its 2020 list of the 500 greatest albums.
