Amor Prohibido (1994)

By Selena

Tejano cumbia built on synthesizers, with touches of ranchera and hip hop, singing about unrequited love, infidelity and men who will not commit. Selena, the Texas singer behind "Como la Flor," made it in 1994 with her brother A. B. Quintanilla writing. It was the first Tejano record to reach number one on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart.
