Alone (1957)
A set of torch songs about loneliness, sung with the full dramatic weight of Judy Garland's voice over Gordon Jenkins's orchestral arrangements. Released by Capitol Records in May 1957, it steps away from the show tunes and movie songs Garland was known for as a singer and actress. It reached number two on Billboard's Pop Albums Coming Up Strong chart that July.
