A Hard Day's Night (1964)
Bright, guitar led pop from the English rock band's third studio album, released in July 1964 alongside their film of the same name. It was the first Beatles record written entirely by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, and it yielded two transatlantic number one singles, the title track and "Can't Buy Me Love". George Harrison's Rickenbacker 12-string shaped the jangle of the Byrds.
